Bespoke Wills and Will Writing

Your Choices Hereafter

Having a Will ensures that your money, possessions and estate pass to the people of your choosing. You will be afforded full control over the allocation of your finances, protecting the people you love, and the memories you’ve worked hard to collect. It is the only way to obtain complete autonomy after your passing.

With a professionally crafted Will, your wishes will be respected under the law.

Why Choose to Write a Will?

Ease and Speed of Distribution

Having a Will in place at the time of your passing will guarantee that your estate is distributed amongst your loved ones with ease. This avoids any prolonged or complicated legal battles that can be distressing during the first stages of grief.

Your Choice of Executor

When writing your Will, you will be given the freedom to choose the executor of your Will. You can appoint a trusted friend or family member with the relevant skills and knowledge of your circumstances to fulfil your final wishes.

Protecting Your Partner

Under the law, your married or unmarried partner may not be entitled to your estate or belongings. A Will would guarantee they are in safe hands, and give you peace of mind that they do not lose joint assets.

The Appointment of Guardians

As a parent or guardian of children, a Will allows you to solely choose who will care for them after your passing. Without a Will, this would be in the hands of the law.

Protecting Your Assets

It is not uncommon for individuals to wish for protection of their assets from a close relative who may automatically receive them upon your passing. When you choose to have a Will written, you have full control over where your personal items end up.

Will Writing: The Process

When you contact Bespoke Wills and Trusts, you will be given an appointment with Ged, professional Will writer. His job is to take your instructions and translate them into your Will, carefully crafting a viable document that accurately and clearly reflects your wishes.

The Will needs to be understood by your Executors and most importantly, the Probate Court, to ensure that it is proved quickly to minimise any problems which may occur causing delays and possible hardship to your loved ones.

Prepare for Your Appointment

Prior to your appointment, you should prepare the following information to smooth out the process. By having many of the answers available, we will have more time to discuss other important issues which may arise during the consultation.

Executors, Trustees and Beneficiaries

The executor is responsible for carrying out the wishes outlined in your Will. Knowing who this will be, having their approval, and bringing their contact information on your first appointment can avoid confusion later down the line.

Guardians

As with executors, you should bring the names and contact information of appointed guardians to your appointment. It is vital you have their approval before signing their names in your Will.

Property

Although not necessary, we recommend having a rough estimate of the value of your property prepared for your appointment. This includes information on outstanding debts, life policies, insurance, and pensions.

Funeral Wishes

Although you may not have thought this far ahead, if you do have any specific requests, plans, or financial aid for your funeral, this can be added to your Will and we would request that you bring this information to your appointment.
